We are incredibly pleased that our Offspring Cuvée Red was the winner of the competition held in the daily newspaper "Die Presse". Offspring was able to achieve 16.7 out of a possible 17.0 points in the blind tasting and was able to assert itself in the "Red Wine Blend 2017" category amid a tough competition! After several very good evaluations, this is now the final place on the podium, which pays for all efforts in the new cuvéeing [since vintage 2017: 80% Merlot & 20% Blaufränkisch]. It is not only beautiful, it also tastes excellent (in the truest sense of the word ;-))! In addition, Black Pepper [Shiraz] achieved second place in the "Variety" category. Our current vintages also received very good ratings in various other competitions such as Falstaff, A la Carte, Vinaria and the Burgenland Wine Awards, having started this year's harvest on 10 September and completed it in time for the weekend on Friday 11 October after a total of 20 harvest days.

We are thrilled to have such a nice vintage in the cellar, which is of course based on the weather on the one hand, but above all on the year-round vineyard maintenance and meticulous hand picking. Therefore, a big thank you to our team! - Working in nature always looks very romantic, but is also very demanding. It is therefore all the more satisfying when you can present and enjoy the finished product <3.
