Collection: Blaufränkisch Reserve
CENTRAL BURGENLAND DAC
WINE DESCRIPTION
Black violet, with delicate lightening of the edges. Inviting scent of ripe, dark fruit, spicy, dried herbs, figs. A powerful and at the same time noble Blaufränkisch, which unobtrusively and calmly presents its primarily fruity aromas on the palate. Elegant use of precious wood, delicate acidity, rich in finesse, long finish, mocha finish, mineral aftertaste.
STORY
As the name already suggests, the "Alten Weingebirge" is the oldest German Kreutzer wine-growing area, in which viticulture was already practiced in Roman times (or even earlier). At an altitude of up to 255m, climatically influenced by Lake Neusiedl, our vines grow with an average age of 30 years (the oldest from 1959) on loess loam soil with a slightly sandy layer and limestone in the subsoil.
